Jesus Christ. Did you even think before saying that? You're saying that ANet milks us for cash? Wait, what? Have you ever stopped to look at Blizzard with WoW? How can you honestly say that ANet's milking us dry when all you're required to do to play the game is,... *Gasp* BUY THE GAME?! Costumes are optional. Get over yourself.

You took the time on a fan-site to do so. You are either a closet fanboi or a hypocrite. People who have no interest don't constantly QQ about a game unless they are a masochist.

if you are a decent player, and not socially inept, you can get into ranked groups.

Most people won't even accept you if you have a rank lower than theirs. This has nothing to do with being a decent player, because if you want them to see that you're actually a decent player, you'll still have to play with them to demonstrate it, which won't work because they don't know if you're a decent player, etc. Loop, loop, loop.

Neither does it have anything to do with your social skills. People just won't accept others that have R0, unless they know you personally, because they want to win. I don't blame 'em for that, but you guys are still lying.

- The number of skills in GW2 will be reduced because many players were crushed by the sheer number of skills and possible builds. -

I can't help LMAO at this. It sounds like the poor players were "crushed" by their own laziness (" lol wtf how u beat this i gots ursan and u ")
Imagine that GW2 has like 20 skills, and everyone just runs around nuking fireballs, using power attacks, and healers using 3 different healing spells, and maybe, just MAYBE , some blocking stance called "shield". -.-

But seriously, i really REALLY hoped that GW2 would inherit GW1's combat system :S
I really don't know why they wanna reduce it's complexity, is it really just because some players are lazy / lack brain cells? Or is this supposed to mean "wow is more popular. Make F2P version of wow and get more moneyz."

I kinda agree with you there. But then again, we don't quite know how many skills there will be,... We don't know by how much the number of skills will fall. But,... You can't honestly say that being able to pick 8 skills out of,... Around 276 skills is good.

Yes, because with the infinite cash GW brings in without micro transactions are sufficient to fund arenanet. they absolutely don't need any more funding at all, and thinking anet might need to make money is completely preposterous. also, no one's putting a gun to anyone's head forcing them to buy it.

Do you honestly believe that most of those group leaders in HA nowadays are actually good and nice players? Instead of PvX abusers that spend too much time grinding HA instead of having fun?

There's a difference between being a fan of and having interest in.

do you think every single one is a douchebag? seems to me like you don't try hard enough and should pron either quit or try harder. if you tried hard enough you could probably find someone willing to take you. but you obviously don't try hard enough. ^________^

Guild Wars the Game: A+
Guild Wars the current management: F-

Sry, to say but Guild Wars team of ANet lost a lot of good talent over the years, and it shows. About a few years ago, I would have said, GW2 would be a strong challenger for WoW, but now I have to say GW2 is gonna have a hard time making it past 1/2 of the player totals for GW1.

ANet's decision to go for AION before GW2 I think is the culprit.

yeah right because ANet developed AION and not NCSoft....

Hai guis. I has played HA for 2 days now and started with 1 fame. I now has 30 fame, and a shitload of friends that are R7+ from just asking people to ping build and whats vent info. They didn't even ask to see my rank. I knew how to play, so they kept me on the team.

Go readup on how to HA, get vent ready, and be what class they need, when they need it.

1) There are hundrends of possible viable builds in the game. The problem is that most of the playerbase are too LAZY to think their own. They just go to wikia and copy one.

Why would I take the time to do that when a build posted on wiki does my job twice as fast, and better then I do? With even more simple button mashing?

2) You forgot JQ, FA and codex arena.

JQ, FA, and Codex Arena are not PvP. L2PLAY.

3) When you got that many skills it is expected. Thats why they are reducing them in GW2.

Reducing? How about putting some thought into it before they change skills.

4) Dont buy them, end of story.

Wasn't planning on it asshat.

5) Rofl..i wont even comment on that.

6) So you judge something you havent play? People should get over that "wow clone" syndrome. Its not the first MMO ffs.

CHAMP CHAMP CHAMP CHAMP!

Had to reply back to you. I put what I got out of the interview, you took it as a personal attack. Hey brah, A-Net called, they want their penor back, stop riding it.

urdoinitwrong
Couple things....A lot of players don't want to leave the guilds they are currently with just so they can play HA. Some people are in guilds because they enjoy the people not necessarily their ability to play various areas. Are players required to either be in a PvP HA guild or be r10 to play in HA? Not really....but they have little chance to because of the current state there.

Objective/Subjective...Neither here nor there...not relative to the point... Correcting grammar with "urdoingitwrong" .....I'll leave it at that.

there is always the option of pugging with low rank players. but of course that's a terrible idea, nobody wants to play with other low ranked players, because they want to win. which is the same reason r10s don't typically take low ranked players unless:

a) they know them
b) the person isn't socially inept, and convinces them to try them out.

and as far as not wanting to leave their guilds just to HA, their problem, if they don't want to leave and take the initiative to make stuff happen, they don't deserve for anything to be made easier for them.

Maybe it wasn't translated that clear, but Martin didn't meant the time to participate in one single PvP match but about the effort and time that is needed to become a member of the PvP community.
And no, a new player cannot jump right into PvP, he first has to play several weeks to unlock all skills and equipment for PvP chars or collect them in PvE.

I see you mention this in responce to some posts in this thread so i'll ask the question, if a person treats someone with the upmost respect when they talk to them about grouping with them. Will they respond to that person with that same respect also?

You do realise this is guildwars right? I've been in groups where we needed extra player/s irregardless of rank and some people get great pleasure of basically s**tting on other players.

Alot of the issues that players have with PvP will continue into guildwars 2, its the player base that shoots itself in the foot together with anet's inability to actually balance pvp.

if they were raised properly they ought to treat someone with the same respect, and in many cases they do, sure it doesn't happen all the time, but being respectful is a much more solid solution than going on forums whining about rank discrimination.

because those situations are the exact same thing that always happen all the time and no one ever acts properly ever right?

- They may expand the Test Krewe.

Finally there will be a deaf guy next to the blind man making the test krewe force double as strong. Maybe we will get only 1 skill update a month that doesn't need a fix within 1 hour

- Even negative feedback has something positive; if people criticize a game it means they're (still) interested into it.

Yea but seeing this as possitive? Negative feedback... Translated in stop this s*** and killing the game...(also known as I stop and won't buy the next one) Losing customers isn't positive
